European markets opened higher for Thursday’s operations as attention is focused on comments from global authorities such as the European Central Bank and international organizations like the World Economic Forum on global issues that may shed more light to investors on the directions in which they are aiming their stakes.
At the opening, the DAX gained 0.51% as Infineon Technologies AG led the green list increasing 1.09%. The FTSE 100 added 0.35% with Antofagasta plc jumping 4.77%. The CAC 40 rose 0.49% as Teleperformance SE was up by 2.97%. The Euro Stoxx 50 gained 0.57% with Prosus N.V. increasing by 1.74%.
The euro was up by 0.13% against the dollar at 8:59 am CET, selling for $1.09793. Also, the pound gained 0.23% to go for $1.27649 at the same time.
