The 4-week moving average was 224,250, a decrease of 750 from the previous week’s revised average.
The unemployment rate in the week ending September 21 was at 1.2%, unchanged from the previous week. The insured unemployment number was lower by 1,000 compared to the previous week, landing at 1,826,000. The 4-week moving average was 1,829,250, a decrease of 4,750 from the previous week’s revised average.
