Major stock market indexes in Europe opened higher on Wednesday as investors awaited the updates on manufacturing and services in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Eurozone, and producer prices in the latter.
The DAX advanced by 0.54% as Zalando SE expanded by 1.85%. The FTSE 100 rose by 0.41%, with Smith & Nephew PLC jumping by 2.7%. The CAC 40 grew by 0.56% as Edenred SA gained 1.25%. The Eurostoxx 50 increased by 0.45%, with Industria de Diseño Textil SA soaring by 5.10% at 9:02 am CET.
The euro and the pound sterling both stood flat against the United States dollar at 8:58 am CET to sell for $1.08796 and $1.27731, respectively.
